As part of ISN Technologies increasing efforts to stay involved within our community, I recently spent a day volunteering with Waterloo Region’s local Habitat for Humanity (HabitatWR). Admittedly, this is the first time I have volunteered since I was required, back in high school.
It was a positive feeling to see the dedication, kind-heartedness, and to work alongside individuals who may not know one another or the family we are building for, but are willing to give up their time to help those in need. The volunteer staff on hand were exceptional to work with and offered great reference points for information and help. HabitatWR’s slogan of “One Day Makes a Difference” couldn’t be more accurate, with 98% of builds being completed by volunteers.
